Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branches in Engineering fields. It deals with metals what we studied in class 10th and 12th which is like ferrous, Aluminium, Zinc and much other metal.

It deals with the basic mechanical properties first like (Elasticity, Plasticity, Stress, Strain, Toughness ) which you already studied in class 11th and 12th here it’s in advance. Help to find out the stress strikes on any system. Also helps to find out the Diameter of Pipe cylinder, Hollow, Sphere and much more. This is complete Numerical based subjects.
Thermodynamics / Thermal:
It deals with the Heat and Mass Transfer of a system. This subject helps you to find out the transfer of heat possible from the object as small as possible like example Mobile phone. It also deals with how the Jet engine works.
This is too numerical based subject. In this, you will also learn the cycle completion which is the Diesel cycle, Petrol cycle and much more in very details. There is one more subject IC Engine who covers all this topic in advance.
Fluid mechanics deals with the Pump, Turbine Theory and Numerical Problems. In this, we will study the advance parts of the turbine and its efficiency, Pump efficiency and much more.
Material science deals with the Stress, Strain, Mechanical properties, FCC structure of metals and much more in advance.

This subject is very interesting. why I am saying interesting because in this we will learn about Vernier caliper (Helps to find material dimension), Gauge, Tachometer, and much more such device will be studying here.
Here you will study all the ignition system, cooling system, Lubrication system in very advance. we also study here the different parts of the car, bike, Tractor in details and much more and this is one of the core subjects of a mechanical stream.
Theory of Machine:
This subject deals with the clutch as you have seen in the vehicles. Cam and follower, Gears, Power Transmission and more.
This is totally computer-based subjects helps you to learn Computer-aided design and Manufacturing. This is also one of the very good subjects. If you having interest in designing you must study this subject hard.
In industry, any machine is made, first made it to CAD than coming to make in real.
This Subject is also one of the fine subjects. It deals with several power plants like Hydro, Thermal, Nuclear Power plant. As you studied Pump ad Turbine here you can use in very details.
